"Front Seat, No Battle!"

Today I was randomly thinking about some of the things that are different now than they were when I was growing up. My sisters and I used to always race to be the one to get to ride in the front seat of the car with my mom. For some reason you could be the first one to say the words "front seat, no battle" and you had sealed the deal - unless someone was already sitting there and didn't hear you say it.

Now days you have to be practically all grown up to sit in the front seat. So now mom's drive around with every seat filled except for the one next to them. Maybe there is less fighting now (unless it is about what movie you watch), but I bet it takes longer to get the kids in the car because they aren't racing to get to the front seat.

Oktoberfest

We finally made it up to Snowbird for Oktoberfest on Saturday. (This is Mike and Mylee)Mylee and Grandma Lomax inside the tent. The German food was awesome as always, and the German Chocolate Cake was absolutely to die for!

The Leaves were pretty, but we were about a week early to see the prime color. So here is a challenge to you my blogging friends... Someone needs to go this weekend and post some pictures of the leaves....

SLC Farmer's Market

Just for kicks last Saturday we went down to the farmer's market at Pioneer Park. It was huge!
.
There was so much fresh produce, and so many booths of crafts and treats and kettlecorn etc. Not to mention the various people playing music around the area.
.
Many people were walking around eating a whole peach, with the juices running everywhere. It made me glad to be a Utahn - cause lets face it, our peaches do rock!

A fresh start

This morning at breakfast ...
.
Mylee reached out,
shook my hand, and said
.
"Nice to meet you."
.
It made my day!

Well at last!

I'm very pleased to announce that after a week and a half of the most miserable cold I've ever had - I'm better!

Today I'm going to clean away all of the "sick stuff" from my room. The humidifier will go back in the closet, the vicks vapor rub and cough drops back in the cupboard, and the tissues back to my office. I'll even change the sheets (that smell like vicks vapor rub) because they hold bad memories of endless nights of coughing.

I'm not even sure why I'm blogging this - but I'm happy to have someone to tell.... so thank you for reading.

I wish you health.

Bagoon!

Well - we finally got Mylee to Lagoon - or "Bagoon" as she calls it. Mike and I only made it on one big ride, but we had such a good time with Mylee!

Landon and Chantel (Mike's Brother and his wife) came with us, and made it so much more fun than it would have been otherwise.

I hope all these happy smiles give you an idea of all the fun!

OK blogging friends - someone tell me how to turn pictures the right way.

Landon and Chantel spoiled Mylee and she loved it! Thanks guys!!(Notice the hairdo by the end of the day)

How does your garden grow?

Anyone can grow normal looking veggies, but I prefer to grow strange and unique cucumbers and carrots. It is a very difficult and precise art...

Too Quite?

Have you ever had this dreaded thought cross your mind? "It is too quite. "

I found her covered in diaper cream, and just about died!

Just in case you were wondering... diaper rash cream DOES NOT COME OFF EASILY, for obvious reasons it is not water soluble - but can anyone tell me why it is not soap soluble (if that is even I real term)?

As I type she just ran out of the room
and I don't know what she is doing
and I am filled with dread....
